Hungary vaccination rate highest in EU – ECDC
Hungary’s coronavirus vaccination rate is now the highest in the European Union, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control said late on Sunday.
Fully 21.6 percent of the Hungarian population has received at least the first dose of one of the available vaccines, while 6.6 percent has received both jabs, ECDC said.
Hungary is followed by Malta (21.5/9.5pc), Finland (17.5/2pc), and Estonia (16.5/5.4pc).
According to ECDC figures,
12.3 percent of the EU’s total population has received at least the first jab so far.
Orbán: Hungary vaccination total could reach 2 million on Monday
Hungary has a good chance of having inoculated 2 million people against Covid-19 by Monday night, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said.
“The inoculation drive is progressing well,” the prime minister said in a video message on Facebook on Monday morning.
The prime minister said that “efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic continued in Hungary on Palm Sunday”, and thanked health-care workers for their efforts.
“Our doctors and nurses have been up to their task and Hungary’s health-care system has also tackled the pressure,” Orbán said.
He said that teachers have now been moved up on the inoculation list to receive their jabs and asked them to register for vaccination by midnight on Monday, so that kindergartens and schools could reopen as soon as possible.

you forgot to add: Hungary death rate highest in EU
Finally Orbanistan reached the EU top in something…. But if that is not the top he was wishing for, the Victorious Leader of Orbanistan will find the solution: exit EU. Apparently he is planning something similar with football, notoriously his second obsession after power: exit UEFA and create the Football Association of Austria-Hungary That way if things really get bad, at least Orbanistan will be second best team….
Hahaha shows how BIG & MIGHTY the pathetic E.U is.
